The Holten Triathlon has been a sports spectacle for 35 years and for years now, it’s also a grand musical feast. This year, there are no less than three stages with performances by top artists on both days: the main stage at the Kalfstermansweide, a stage in the Dorpsstraat, and a stage at the Smidsbelt. There is something for everyone.
Opening Party
On Friday evening, the men of Kabaal kick off the sporty weekend on the main stage. Kabaal plays top 100, rock & roll, and pop cover hits until 00:30. With more than 36 years of live experience, they know how to turn every event into a big party!
In the Dorpsstraat, DJ Julian is spinning, and at the Smidsbelt, DJ Flo is in charge. From the ’80s to the latest hits: these DJs have it all.
Jupiler After Race Party
On Saturday evening, we close the weekend with the Jupiler After Race Party. The Reeperbahne Stimmungsmachers ensure that no one leaves the festival ground without a smile on the main stage. The Dijkerhoek band Reeperbahner Stimmungsmacher needs hardly any introduction; famous and notorious in Holten and surroundings for performing all songs in the legendary “Reeperbahner” version. “We guarantee a grand show, where you’ll still have goosebumps on your arms the next day,” according to the Reeperbahner Stimmungsmacher. Alternating with DJ Sander Scheperman, they provide a top party until 00.30. Sander has been spinning records for 12.5 years for audiences. As a resident DJ of Club Merlijn in Hengelo and Dancing Bruins in Saasveld, he knows exactly how to keep everyone’s feet off the floor.
On the Dorpsstraat stage, the best Dutch hits are sung by John Enter, Marco Schouten, and Bjorn Klok. On the stage at the Smidsbelt, Bastard Suuker, a new band fueled by ultimate roots music such as rock, country, and blues, will be performing.
