Triathlon Holten from June 10 to 12 part of Special Olympics National Games Twente 2022
In 2022, Holten awaits a special edition of the triathlon. The prime triathlon village will be one of the ‘host cities’ during the Special Olympics National Games, which will be held in the Twente region in two years from June 10 to 12. Holten will serve as the backdrop for the triathlon event, which is included in the Special Olympics program for the first time in history.
During the Special Olympics National Games, more than 3,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities compete for medals every two years in the Netherlands. In 2022, the Twente region will host this special sports event. The various events scheduled between June 10 and 12, 2022, will take place in 24 different locations that, like Holten, are known for a particular sport.
Holten, which is known both nationally and internationally for its annual triathlon, will of course host the first triathlon at the Special Olympics National Games. This will be held between June 10 and 12, 2022, separately from the regular Holten Triathlon, for which no date is known yet. More information on this will follow later.
