In 2019, Holten will once again be the battleground for an international triathlon for elite and junior athletes. Both series are part of the European Triathlon Union circuit. In addition to the international competition, there is also a packed sports and festive program set up for recreational participants and the public. On Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, the 35th edition of this iconic international top sports event will be organized in Holten.
Swimming in the Domelaar and Twenhaarsveld pool, cycling on and around the Holterberg, and running through a lively Holten; it’s a combination that not only appeals to international top athletes but also to many hundreds of recreational participants.
The event in Holten has been on the international calendar since 2002 and in 2019 is organized one week before the WTS event in Hamburg. With the upcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, the points to be gained in Holten for the world ranking become even more significant.
