Popular Triathlon Holten Clinics Again

Registration for clinics for youth and adults starts on December 15th

For participants of the 2020 Triathlon Holten, the popular clinics are organized once again this year. A fun and sporty way for both youth and adults to be well-prepared at the start on June 19 and 20. Registration for the clinics opens – just like the registration for the triathlon itself – on Sunday, December 15 on this website.

The clinics for youth aged 9 to 15 are provided by Triathlon Team Holten and ZPC Twenhaarsveld. For adults aged 16 and up, tailored programs are created by the Holten swimming, cycling, and athletics clubs.

Youth Clinics

The youth clinics are suitable for participants of all levels. You don’t need to be a top athlete to join in. Those without a racing or mountain bike can simply bring a regular bike. For advanced youth who have a good grasp of swimming, cycling, and running, a special training program has been compiled. The setup for this target group is based on the regular training also received by TTH members. In this way, the organization aims to make participation in the triathlon sport attractive and feasible for experienced youth. The program for youth consists of four training sessions and a course exploration and begins on May 12.

Clinics for 16 and up

Participants aged 16 and up are prepared step by step in three months by experienced trainers from the Athletics Association Holten, Wim Reinsgroep, and Swim and Polo Club Twenhaarsveld. They teach the right techniques, give tips about equipment and suitable nutrition. Suitable options have been devised for both beginners and advanced triathletes. These can be followed separately as well as in combination. For instance, those proficient in running but needing to hone cycling and/or swimming skills can register only for the cycling and swimming training sessions. Different costs are calculated for the combinations. The running clinic starts Monday, March 30, the cycling clinic on Friday, March 27, and the swimming training on May 6 in the outdoor pool.
