International top-level races and a program full of sports and entertainment for recreational participants and spectators
On Friday, July 1st, and Saturday, July 2nd, the 36th edition of the Triathlon Holten will take place. This spectacle attracts over 15,000 visitors, about 2,000 participants, and no less than 950 volunteers. The program is packed with top-level sports, recreational races, and entertainment.

Europe Triathlon Premium Cup for international elite athletes
The Triathlon Holten will once again be the battleground for an international triathlon for elite athletes in 2022. For the 15th consecutive time, a prestigious Europe Triathlon Premium Cup race has been awarded to Holten by the European Triathlon Union. On the famous course on and around the Sallandse Heuvelrug, world-class athletes will compete for ranking points and podium positions. The race in Holten has been on the international calendar since 2002. The junior series has also been awarded to Holten by the European federation this year, adding even more top-level spectacle.
A program full of sports and festivities for recreational participants and spectators
Just like in previous editions, a sports-filled and festive program is slated for recreational participants and the public on Friday and Saturday.
The youth triathlon series will take place this year on Friday evening, unlike previous years. The popular Vivera Run moves to Saturday morning. This marks its fifth organization, celebrating its first lustrum.
Celebration of the 21st anniversary of the Municipality of Rijssen-Holten
The Saturday evening party is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Rijssen-Holten, to also celebrate the 21st anniversary of Rijssen-Holten during the event. The celebration of the 20th anniversary could not take place last year due to corona.
