Registration for Triathlon Holten Reopened: Additional Starting Spots for Youth

Just two months to go until the 38th edition of the Triathlon Holten kicks off.

The starting spots for the race in the triathlon village are in demand, and various events now have a waiting list. However, there is good news for young triathletes: they can still secure a starting spot.

The Triathlon Holten will take place this year on Friday, June 28th, and Saturday, June 29th. On the first day of the sporting event, the youth triathlon is among the highlights. The Supersprint youth triathlon, for children aged 8 to 11 years, is popular again this year and is now fully booked. The same goes for the youth clinics leading up to the Triathlon Holten.

“We received many responses from disappointed parents and children. Therefore, we decided to create 30 additional starting spots for children aged 8-11,” said Folkert Visser of Triathlon Holten. Registration will reopen on Thursday, April 25th, for this group.

Participants aged 12 to 19 years can also still register for the youth triathlon.

Triathletes from 16 years and older can participate in the eighth triathlon on Saturday, but there is also a waiting list for this distance.

Do you want to ensure a starting spot as a participant aged 16 to 19 years? Then you can also choose to take action on Friday evening and participate in the 1/16th triathlon. This distance is part of the youth triathlon, and there are currently still starting spots available in this age category.

Registration is possible through the Triathlon Holten website: www.triathlonholten.nl.
