Every edition of the Holten Triathlon yields a wide variety of numbers. This is the thirty-fifth edition in eight numbers.

The Holten triathlon cannot exist without the many volunteers who make the event possible. 952 volunteers ensure that the triathlon runs smoothly.

This year, the course for the eighth triathlon has a change compared to the previous edition. Participants in this part must tackle the notorious Motieweg not once but twice. The Diepe Hel is not part of the course for the eighth triathlon this year.

The sports kickoff of the triathlon weekend takes place on Friday evening. Since 2016, the Rabobank Kids Triathlon and the Vivera Run have been on the program. 121 participants take part in the latter event. They cover a distance of five or ten kilometers over the same running course as the triathletes who compete the next day.

The program of the Holten Triathlon has expanded considerably over the years. From the Koers Oost Business Triathlon to the First Division; during the thirty-fifth edition, no fewer than 11 different competitions are on the program.

After exertion, it is traditionally time for relaxation at the Holten Triathlon. Both Friday and Saturday are concluded with a spectacular party. This year, triathletes, volunteers, and spectators can enjoy music acts on not one but three stages. The center of Holten becomes even more atmospheric during the triathlon weekend.

Rachel Klamer crossed the finish line in Holten as the fastest female triathlete last year. It was not the first time. It marked the sixth victory in Holten for the Beuningen native. This makes Klamer the record holder among women. Among men, Eric van der Linden and Eimert Venderbosch can call themselves record holders. Both have won the race in Holten four times.

The event that the Holten Triathlon is today resembles the first edition in 1985 in some respects. At that time, 150 participants competed for the first victory. This year, no fewer than 1905 participants will appear at the start in Holten.

More and more international top athletes are finding their way to the Holten Triathlon, but this is certainly also true for the recreational athletes. This year, 1173 of them will appear at the start.
