Participants of Triathlon Holten receive free sunscreen distributed by us
Spectators can also apply sunscreen for free. On June 28 and 29, four dispensers will be set up along the participant field, and 500 tubes will be distributed. The organization wants to promote safe sports and has therefore partnered with Univé Oost.
‘Safety in sports comes first, apply sunscreen and reduce the risk of skin cancer’
Protection against skin cancer
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the Netherlands, according to the Dutch Cancer Registry (NKR). To ensure safe sporting while being exposed to the sun longer than usual, Univé provides free sunscreen during Triathlon Holten. By providing participants and spectators with sunscreen, they are protected against harmful UV radiation.
Univé as a partner
Anita Brinks, chairman of Triathlon Holten: “We are very happy with Univé as one of the partners during the Triathlon in Holten. It is very important to us that athletes can sport safely and focus entirely on their performance. Thanks to the free availability of sunscreen, we can relieve them and protect them against the harmful effects of UV radiation. That spectators can also apply for free is a very nice addition. This way, we contribute to a healthy and carefree sports experience together.”
Gerard Kok, Chairman of the Board at Univé Oost: “At Univé, we find it important that everyone can sport safely, even during events like the Triathlon in Holten. Research shows that skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in the Netherlands. That is why we provide free sunscreen, so participants and spectators can protect themselves against harmful UV radiation. Through awareness and prevention, we hope to contribute to a healthier future for everyone. It’s easier to start young!”
