The Triathlon Holten – organized for the thirty-fifth time on June 28 and 29 – promises to be even more atmospheric than before this year. In collaboration with local hospitality, a ‘food court’ will be set up. Two extra stages with music acts and street theater will appear in the center. At a large number of catering establishments, consumptions can be obtained with the triathlon token. Visitors thereby enjoy a lot of extra entertainment and culinary delights in a festival setting.
Food court
The new food court is a unique collaboration between the Triathlon Holten and most of the local hospitality. Various food stands will be set up on the edge of the Kalfstermansweide, between Zwartepad and the shops located there. The catering establishments will serve a variety of culinary dishes. From local to international, from meat to vegetarian and from low-calorie to high-calorie. Visitors and participants thus have ample choice when it comes to nourishing their inner spirit.
Music and street theater
For the first time this year, stages will be set up on the Smidsbelt and in the Dorpsstraat. Music and street theater will provide entertainment there. The performances range from children’s acts to DJ sets and offer entertainment for young and old. “The stages with performances at these two new locations increase the entertainment offer during the triathlon. In combination with the existing mega-stage in the so-called stadium at the Kalfstermansweide, this offer is also more distributed throughout the center.
Triathlon token also usable at Holten’s hospitality
To obtain consumptions at a large number of Holten’s catering establishments, the triathlon token can be used on June 28 and 29. A new initiative that has been created, among other things, as part of the novelties surrounding the food court and the new stages. “It provides clarity and convenience for the visiting public and participants,” said Pieters. During the event, it will be visible which catering establishments belong to the participating parties.
